Ukraine is one of the few countries where you can legally get the full range of reproductive medicine (ART) services. According to the Ukrainian Association of Reproductive Medicine (UARM), the effectiveness of ART is very high in Ukraine: on average, for 100 treatment cycles, 35% are successful. A successful birth rate in Ukraine is even higher than the European average one. So, in Ukraine this figure is 27% for every 100 cycles, in Europe — about 25%.
Another reason for choosing Ukraine is that in the West, the field of reproduction is regulated, and often illegal. Thus, in Ukraine, a surrogate mother (in the case of IVF) does not have the right to claim to a child, while, for example, in Great Britain or Germany, the woman who bore and gave birth to the child is automatically recognized as the mother of the child.
Also in Ukraine, genetic diagnosis of the embryo is allowed (the embryo is diagnosed for the presence of hereditary diseases before implantation). A similar procedure is prohibited in Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Italy and only partially allowed in France and the Netherlands.
