Surrogate motherhood refers to the act of combining an egg cell (or a volunteer surrogate egg) with the husband’s sperm into a fertilized egg, provided that the woman is completely infertile, and completes the entire pregnancy process and is smoothly produced in the womb of the surrogate. Surrogate motherhood can be carried out by artificial insemination.
